BellaNaija partners with Africa Soft Power

Africa Soft Power (ASP) is delighted to announce that BellaNaija has been named as an official media partner at this year’s Africa Soft Power Summit, which takes place next month. Like ASP and our sister-organisation, African Women on Board (AWB), BellaNaija is committed to leveraging the power of media and tech to drive positive change and celebrate progress, across its significant lifestyle and advocacy platforms, and we couldn’t have asked for a better media partner at this year’s event!

The Summit, which this year also includes the inaugural RAW Women’s Leadership Conference, will take place from May 23rd – 27th, and you can find out further details here.

Other announcements this week

As we make our way along the Road to Kigali, it’s a busy time for ASP & AWB, and we recently added a few new introductions to our regular content programme:

  • The Africa Soft Power Tracker is now live and fully-launched, charting the latest creative, knowledge, and digital sector stories from across the continent and throughout the diaspora community. You can read all the latest updates here.
  • AWB’s new Instagram Live series is GO! ⚡️ It’s been specifically designed to share key information and insights that African female entrepreneurs can leverage on their own journey toward business success. The first session, held on Thursday 30th March, provided an exciting opening, and you can find out more here.
  • ASP TikTok is also now live, adding to our existing social media portfolio, and you can view all the latest from that one here.

Additionally…

Our friends at the TBTM (Take Back the Mic) Festival are currently competing in the Webby Awards… for two of the programme’s most prestigious prizes! The Take Back the Mic event, which in its last incarnation focused on ‘Remixing the Renaissance: Culture & Technology from the New Global South’ is up for the Webby People’s Voice Award AND the overall Webby Award, competing alongside international household names like the BBC, The Atlantic, and Mozilla. The public vote is now open, and you can find out more about the competition and its participants here.
