Dike Chukwumerije is a poet, author and public speaker. He is the winner of the 2012 The African Poet (Nigeria) National Poetry Slam Competition. His novel ‘Urichindere’ was the winner of the 2013 Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) Prize for Prose Fiction. In 2017, he made speeches at TEDxMaitama and at the 23rd Nigerian Economic Summit that drew widespread public reaction. He is the Programs Director of the Abuja Literary Society, in which role he oversees the organization of weekly literary events including Open Mics, Book Readings and Guest Author Sessions.
He is the CEO of Simply Poetry Ltd, a production company that uses poetry as a medium for engaging in critical socio-political discourse. His spoken word theatre production “Made In Nigeria” has been touring the country since 2016, with visits to over 10 states including Lagos, Enugu, Borno, Abia, Osun, Edo, Adamawa and Rivers.
