Africa Soft Power joins Africa Prosperity Network for Maiden Africa Prosperity Dialogues

Dear friends and family,

Africa Soft Power is excited to partner with the Africa Prosperity Network in hosting Africa’s business, social sector and political leaders at the maiden edition of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues. The 2-day conference will be hosted from January 26th to January 28th, 2023 under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and H.E Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). The event will be hosted at the Safari Valley Resort, Aburi, on the mountainous Akuapem Ridge, Ghana.

The Africa Prosperity Dialogues will incorporate the launching of various platforms for political, business and social sector leaders on the continent and in the diaspora to think, plan and collaborate towards building a strong and effective single market of Africa’s 1.4 billion people, thereby, helping to create more opportunities for African citizens and build a more prosperous Africa.

What To Expect

“We must bear in mind that to the outside world, [there’s] nothing like Nigeria, Ghana, or Kenya, we are simply Africans. Our destiny as people depends on each other… if we make it [Africa] as prosperous as it should be, respect will follow”

H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana

“There must be a shared ownership of the objectives of AfCFTA, particularly with businesses big and small, right from the onset. In recent times, global geopolitical issues have exposed Africa’s over-reliance on the global supply chain and natural resources export and highlighted the imperative for Africa to seriously consider how to strengthen capacity for greater intra-Africa reliance and cushion herself against exogenous shocks from events beyond her control.”

H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General, AfCFTA

“We will be convening the powers that be in Africa to decide for Africa, on ways and means and the tools that we think will lead to strategic networking and communications that guide the Africa prosperity agenda.”

Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Executive Chairman, Africa Prosperity Network

“The uniqueness of this dialogue is its feature of connecting industry leaders to heads of governments… It is connecting industry leaders with heads of state.”

Eugene Owusu, Executive Director, Africa Prosperity Network

“It is significant to have the involvement of diaspora business leaders. As President Akufo-Addo said at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in D.C., Africa’s prosperity must deliberately involve direct commitments from the African diaspora”
Dr. Nkiru Balonwu, Founder, Africa Soft Power Group
