Yewande Adewusi
Yewande Adewusi is Regional Director, Africa for BBC Global News. She has overall revenue responsibility for growing the commercial opportunities for BBC World News, BBC.com and BBC World Service. As the commercial lead for the region, she is partnering with brands to create powerful marketing solutions that connect. She is working with numerous companies, development and economic boards to drive business growth and FDI in Africa and across the globe. She is charged with developing partnerships connecting brands to the BBC Global audience across sectors including travel, tourism, finance and investment promotion.
Prior to joining BBC she had an extensive career in financial services focused on fintech, digital financial services and financial inclusion. As mobile payments and financial inclusion is still a passion of hers she continues to sit on boards and works with companies in an advisory capacity.
Yewande has a wealth of experience in strategy, marketing and business development having previously worked for major brands such as Airtel, EFInA (a DFID/Bill & Melinda Gates programme), United Bank for Africa and Pfizer.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, she has a passion for financial inclusion for all in particular women.
