Jessica Horn

Jessica Horn is a feminist activist, writer and strategist with roots in Uganda. A thought leader in the women’s rights field, her research and analysis has been published in The Guardian, The Lancet, Feminist Africa, Al Jazeera, openDemocracy, The Feminist Wire and Africa is a Country among other platforms.  Jessica’s essay ‘So we don’t die tomorrow’ is published in Kenya Hunt’s Girl: Essays on Black womanhood (Harper Collins/Amistad, November 2020). Her debut poetry pamphlet Speaking in Tonguesis included in the Mouthmark Book of Poetry alongside Warsan Shire, Inua Ellams and Malika Booker. Jessica recently co-launched the temple of her skin documenting African women’s tattoo and scarification stories. She is a founding member of the African Feminist Forum. She tweets @stillsherises
