Since joining Netflix in March 2019 as Vice President of Public Policy, Dean leverages his unique blend of legal, leadership, and tactical skills to build and strengthen global public policy expertise, define and achieve strategic objectives, and accelerate social impact.

Prior to joining Netflix, Dean served as President and CEO of the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI) from 2009 to 2019, leading global advocacy for the world’s most innovative and dynamic tech companies.

Dean also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer for the Motion Picture Association (MPA), and prior to, Vice President of Legal Affairs at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Dean is a naturalized U.S. citizen who resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife Chanda and two daughters.
