A renowned international lawyer, public servant and administrator, Chinelo Anohu is a seasoned professional with years of experience in leadership and development. She is the Head and Senior Director of the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) a multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary platform dedicated to advancing projects to bankable stages, raising capital, and accelerating the financial closure of deals.
Prior to her appointment at the AIF, she was the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Pension Commission in Nigeria. Before her appointment as DG of the National Pension Commission, she was the organisation’s first legal secretary.
An expert in development, Chinelo has an LLB from University of Nigeria, Enugu, and is licensed to practice law in Nigeria. She obtained an LL.M in Computer and Communications Law from the London School of Economics. In addition to these, she attended various Executive Programs from top universities including Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Columbia. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London.
Chinelo has worked with governments and institutions to create, reform and enhance structures that promote growth and development in the public sector. She is a member of the London Stock Exchange Africa Advisory group and is also on the International Advisory Board of the University
of Edinburgh Business School.
