Happy International Women’s Day

In March, we celebrate women all month-long! (But really, it’s all year long¬†ūüėČ). Each year¬†International Women’s Day/Month¬†includes a call to action for accelerating women’s equality, this year’s theme is¬†“Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”¬†#breakthebias.

March, is also Women’s History Month, which began in 1987 as a way to celebrate the contributions and achievements women have made in the United States.

What brings you joy?

This was a question we asked long-time friends¬†at our¬†Black History Month¬†(BHM)¬†session,¬†Disease no dey kill Africa man:¬†Black Bodies, Black Culture, Black Wellness. Our guests discussed topics from the “invincible Black man” to what they love the most about Black culture. The conversations were warm, fun,¬†and insightful, and you can view them¬†here.

This month, we wish you even more joy.

We are also excited to tell you that we are¬†hosting our “Africa Month” flagship event in¬†Kigali, Rwanda!¬†The event themed,¬†Africa & the Global Black Community:¬†The New Face of Collaboration¬†is scheduled for¬†May¬†26-27,¬†at the¬†Kigali Serena Hotel, Kigali, Rwanda.

SAVE THE DATE and stay tuned for more updates!
