Happy International Women’s Day

In March, we celebrate women all month-long! (But really, it’s all year long 😉). Each year International Women’s Day/Month includes a call to action for accelerating women’s equality, this year’s theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” #breakthebias.

March, is also Women’s History Month, which began in 1987 as a way to celebrate the contributions and achievements women have made in the United States.

What brings you joy?

This was a question we asked long-time friends at our Black History Month (BHM) session, Disease no dey kill Africa man: Black Bodies, Black Culture, Black Wellness. Our guests discussed topics from the “invincible Black man” to what they love the most about Black culture. The conversations were warm, fun, and insightful, and you can view them here.

This month, we wish you even more joy.

We are also excited to tell you that we are hosting our “Africa Month” flagship event in Kigali, Rwanda! The event themed, Africa & the Global Black Community: The New Face of Collaboration is scheduled for May 26-27, at the Kigali Serena Hotel, Kigali, Rwanda.

SAVE THE DATE and stay tuned for more updates!
